The Pub
Everyone loves going our for a drink after a long day getting all dirty and grungy in the field of battle. Here you can kick back, tell some war stories or just talk about whatever you like.
All that aside I have no experience playing in the larger wars. I tend to play the assault maps or just skirmishes. Is there anything I should know before getting in a big war?

Re: The Pub
Sounds like if the larger wars are so intense we'll need more than "a" drink.

Re: The Pub
Alright, lemme crack open what I know, and maybe a drink or two.
So, currently, there are two types of maps: Assault/Defense maps and Skirmish maps. There are functionally no difference between war and staged, besides the resources; war battles rely on whatever your generals can send in on the RTS. In addition, the proficiency of players should go up in war battles (although some clans 'camp' staged to boost their e-penises).
There is nothing more to war battles other than the increased pressure to win (every time you die you are costing your faction money).

Re: The Pub
That's not so bad. I had a feeling it was more of an open world free for all where any number of 100+ players just ran around blasting people with tanks trying to capture all the bases.

Re: The Pub
I participated in a war once thinking it'd be the same as matched. I was dead wrong due to all the tanks on the enemy side and just infantry on ours. It was a massacre.

Re: The Pub
I think that is whats holding me back.. The fact that anti tank is so damned expensive.

Re: The Pub
Well for anti-tank I use the good old tactic of getting either a motorcycle or jeep and mines. Place a mine near the tank since those guys are deaf and watch even heavy tanks explode in one hit. also mines are 147 a pop or less.

Yeah, but if you really had steel balls you'd run right up to a tank and slap some h3 on that bitch.

Re: The Pub
I suggest nade spamming the shit out of people to get that explosives ribbon. One hitting tank destroyers with an H3 and gold grenadier is a lovely feeling of efficiency.
